Study points to increased email and social media budgets for 2013
Online marketing and corporate presence on social media have changed the way companies market to consumers. The Search Engine Journal reported that as 2013 approaches, marketers are going to have to turn to the internet to ensure their campaign efforts will have maximum success.
Finding the correct audience, researching effective sites and analyzing results are practices to keep in place for the upcoming year, according to the Search Engine Journal. As online trends ramp up, so will marketing budgets in order to keep up.
A recent StrongMail survey points to the fact that marketers are indeed planning to utilize email, social media and mobile outlets to find customers into the new year.
The 2013 Marketing Trends Survey found that marketing budgets are going to see a large increase in the upcoming year. An increased budget in the works for 45.2 percent of respondents, with 55.5 percent increasing email marketing budgets, 51.8 percent increasing for social media and 42.8 percent increasing mobile program budgets.
In an ever-developing game, marketers are looking to combine efforts and meld online and mobile experiences to get customers more engaged in the year ahead.
