Are your employees on board with SEO?
As a decision maker at your company, you're in charge of developing an online marketing campaign that reaches a significant audience on the internet. In the past, you might have relied on email marketing and other direct response initiatives, even though search engine optimization seemed to generate higher response rates. This was because SEO was still relatively new compared to other lead generation efforts, but the practice is much more mature now.
A joint study conducted by Search Engine Watch and Conductor surveyed 616 blog readers about the state of the SEO industry. The resulting data found that 71 percent of marketers report they are "more enabled" or "much more enabled" to influence their peers to improve natural search visibility than they were a year ago. The high percentage indicates that the evolution of search has permeated throughout most organizations, and fewer professionals resisted the practice in 2012.
The survey also showed that 63 percent of respondents' executive teams have increased their SEO awareness over the last 12 months. While American businesses respect SEO more today than they did yesterday, the practice only produces favorable results when it is implemented across departments, from content creators to tech teams to public relations professionals.
