Online video engages on many levels

Among the many ways to interact online, video has made a significant impact on the way information is shared on the internet. Video has become a priority for online marketing strategies due to the high number of people watching and sharing videos on social media platforms, meaning brands are looking to interact with their target audience in the digital realm.

A study by the Content Marketing Institute and Marketing Profs displayed the overall importance of content marketing, listing video as the sixth most used content marketing strategy by B2B marketers. Seventy percent of marketers are now using online video.

"Of note, B2B marketers are investing more in online video, which rose 35 percent from last year," said Steve Rotter, vice president of digital marketing solutions at Brightcove. "Now a full seven in 10 B2B marketers create and distribute original videos online."

In an interview with Marketing Pilgrim, MyPod Studios CEO Jay Miletsky stated that while companies may look at creating video content as a significant challenge, it is actually fairly simple.
