Organic search continues to influence consumer behaviors
As a business owner, you might hesitate to implement a search engine optimization (SEO) campaign to promote your brands, but the SEO industry is growing so fast that it is almost mandatory today. Remaining competitive requires the adoption of online marketing best practices in a growing and increasingly complex marketplace, and failing to accept SEO as a standard rather than a trend could prove to be detrimental down the line.
Recently, Google and Bing have reached all-time highs in the search department, comScore reports. According to the research, Google accounted for approximately 66.8 percent of all queries in June 2012, a slight uptick from 66.7 percent in May 2012. Similarly, Bing garnered 15.6 percent of all searches in June 2012, which is an increase from 15.4 percent in the previous month. Each metric is an all-time high for the respective engine.
It's hard to argue that search isn't growing at an impressive rate. Conductor shared some data back in April 2012 that highlighted the importance of practices like search engine marketing (SEO). Organic search drives nearly half of all traffic, almost five times more than social networks combined. Additionally, search leads other channels in conversion percentages.
Finding ways to position your company ahead of your competition is an essential task when running your own business. Online marketing solutions like SEO may be the most beneficial ways to improve your lead generation practices.
