LinkedIn user profiles get a facelift
It seems that once you graduate from college, or even after you land your first internship, creating a LinkedIn profile is a right of passage. With more than 175 million members in over 200 countries and territories, and a registration rate of approximately two new members per second, LinkedIn is a thriving social media platform that helps professionals connect with one another.
LinkedIn hopes that with its new design features, attractive facelift and easier editing capabilities, members will realize the social platform is more than just a tool to connect with other people – it's about sharing and interacting in a meaningful way.
The social service revamped the common profile page to make it easier for users to edit and visualize their professional images. The new look is clean cut with a streamlined design, uses subtle colors and features larger images. What's more, user activity is positioned prominently with large update boxes directly on the page, and the new network insights section is also showcased and breaks down one's network by company, school, location and industry.
With a cleaner design, LinkedIn may see an even faster growth rate moving forward, and B2B marketing professionals can connect with like-minded thought leaders in their field. While the design update affects individual users, LinkedIn's makeover further emphasizes the online solution's focus on becoming a place where online marketing professionals meet with offline innovators and entrepreneurs benefit from venture capitalists.
