Mobile marketing important part of connecting with customers
Companies need to be aware of how customers interact with brands on the go, and mobile marketing should be a priority for the upcoming year. Making the company website more accessible to interested prospects is an important part of how businesses engage new leads. Search Engine Watch relayed mobile experts' advice that marketers should ease into mobile marketing as soon as possible, even if it means taking simple steps to a more smartphone-friendly website.
Mobile Marketing Watch supplied survey statistics from the Q1 Digital Marketing Report by IgnitionOne, showing that paid search spending has increased 112 percent for tablets and 113 percent for smartphones. IgnitionOne president Roger Barnette points out that users are interacting with ads on their mobile devices while also lingering on websites longer. This means there are opportunities for marketers if they move beyond the initial challenges they may face.
In terms of measuring how mobile interaction leads to sales, Search Engine Watch says that it's best to stick to tracking user interaction. It's all about reaching the right prospect at the right time and determining how people connect with the brands on their mobile devices.
