A recent Search Engine Land article reported that although brainstorming is usually considered good for creativity, it may not be the most beneficial avenue for international content marketing. The main reason for this, is that very few ideas work globally. The creative avalanche of ideas that result from brainstorming sessions are often the first to get lost in translation. Often times, efforts to make content marketing appeal to every country on the map are not worth it because something that works well in the United States may have the reverse effect in other countries .
Instead, the author recommends content marketers try the following tips to learn more about marketing to their global audience:
1. Attend conferences and networking events
Attending a conference about content marketing and meeting other industry leaders can help a business learn about strategies that work, grow its professional network and share ideas in a collaborative environment.
2. Identify experts
Learning how to identify experts in the field helps ensure a content marketer is learning from the best. Seeking out and using expert advice is also good for Google analytics as the search engine is increasingly emphasizing the importance of authoritative authors.
3. Participate in training courses, workshops or webinars
As global content marketing is continually evolving and expanding, a business may want to stay on the forefront of all new information with regular classes.
