B2Bs often use analytics and real-time marketing tactics to monitor social media marketing efforts, and according to recent eMarketer statistics they are not alone. The eMarketer study found that 53 percent of businesses plan to use more real-time marketing initiatives this year to improve social media efforts.
Econsultancy recently offered two tips that may help businesses better leverage real-time marketing.
1. Do the right research
To implement marketing that is more effective, a company may want to evaluate its client base before launching efforts. Identifying the core values and needs of customers will provide the solid, data-driven base a brand's marketing strategy needs. As customer needs change over time, a business may want to conduct regular quantitative and qualitative research on a regular basis.
2. Support engagement across multiple channels
Using a cross-channel approach may further boost real-time results, Econsultancy reports. Utilizing more than one channel ensures that a wider audience has greater access and can interact with the brand. Marketers may want to consider marketing across all social media networks. Ensuring that the website platform fits both traditional desktop and mobile screens so that viewers can engage with the brand from their handheld devices and computers also may boost interaction.
