Understanding Facebook’s Edgerank
Social marketing is more than just posting a few interesting posts or stories on your Facebook or Twitter. A comScore report shows that people spend 40% of their time on Facebook in the newsfeed. Only 12% of the time is spent on profile and brand pages. This is why Edgerank is so important. Edgerank is the algorithm used by Facebook to determine where and what posts appear on each individual user’s news feed in order to deliver relevant content to that user.
