Mobile Pay Per Click Advertising Showing Steady Gains

Almost 25% of paid clicks coming from mobile devices.

Internet access on smart phones and tablets are on pace to reach 25% of all internet traffic by the end of 2013. According to an article in from eMarketer, the share of pay per click advertising coming from smart phone and tablet devices doubled between 2011 and 2012. Tablets had 10% of the pay per click market in the 4th quarter of 2012 and overall 23.4% of all paid clicks came from mobile devices.

This trend makes sense as mobile marketing will see an 80% increase in spending from US advertisers. Not only is pay per click advertising on the rise for mobile, it is also cost efficient compared to other media outlets, averaging around $.30 CPC.
