Bing Announces Social Sidebar Redesign
Bing is leading the way social integration in search engines, or at least, visiting their newly redesigned Bing search results page would have you think so.
Microsoft’s Bing announced this week that they have completed another redesign to the Bing natural search results page (what you see when you type in a search query) that changes how the social sidebar helps improve usability with increased social integration.
This sidebar includes social results on the right in its own column and you can easily expand the results without leaving the page by clicking the “+” sign next to the result. However, you must still link Bing with your Facebook account to reap the full benefits of the social results.
Bing introduced the social networking sidebar over six months ago that aims to match content from friends and social networks to provide a more personalized search experience.
Did you notice the change? Below are screenshots of before and after the switch.
