Advertising Services: Microsoft Advertising Switching to Bing
Using Microsoft advertising services just got a little easier for small business owners. Microsoft finally gets what small business owners want – simplicity. Earlier this week Microsoft Advertising Services announced that they have rebranded to Bing Advertising and a simple name switch isn’t the only change. Large organizations will still remain with Microsoft Advertising or Search Alliance since they have account managers to help them through their online advertising process.
Microsoft realized that it is challenging for small business owners to use advertising services and devote much time to a PPC solution and they need to streamline their process and discontinue the confusion between their advertising services. Microsoft is hoping to lower the barrier of entry and make it easier for small business owners to use Bing Advertising, given the strength and popularity of Google AdWords.
The sign-up process is now a five minute, two page painless process versus their previous process of 14 to 20 pages and 20 minutes. In addition, they are hiding many of the advanced features (but not removing them) to make only the necessary components available to make it easier to navigate for first time users. Small business owners can breathe a little easier now when using advertising services.
