Compatibility with Updated Technology is the last of eight SEO elements unaffected by Google’s changing algorithms. Keeping up with technology changes can be tough, but you need to do it.  For example, you need to make sure your site and content is compatible with new browsers.  If not, your user experience will suffer.

Another example is mobile device compatibility.  It’s clear Google will start to penalize sites in terms of their rankings if they can’t be viewed well on a mobile device.  Therefore, your rankings will improve if you design your site and content to be compatible with the latest technologies.

In addition, make sure your mobile site is indexed by Google and you have submitted a mobile sitemap.
