Arizona SEO: Don’t Ignore Bing
Every Arizona SEO practitioner understands that Google is the number one search engine and therefore place a majority of their focus on ranking in Google; however, it can be argued that Arizona SEO practitioners that are ignoring Bing are making a big mistake.
It is understandable why practitioners focus on Google. They have the largest market share, they are consistently in the news, they are extremely innovative and are lead by some of the smartest individuals in the world.
Ignoring Google means ignoring search engine optimization and ignoring online marketing period. On the other hand, to many Arizona SEO practitioners ignoring Bing simply means ignoring a few extra clicks. Unfortunately, this reasoning is flawed. Arizona SEO practitioners that ignore Bing entirely are ignoring a “heavily e-commerce-focused demographic that can provide modest, but incremental, traffic, and revenue.” According to SEO experts, practitioners who focus on Bing could experience between five and ten percent incremental traffic and revenues.
It is true that Bing has not reached Google’s status, however, Bing has positioned itself as a legitimate competitor. Bing has recently become one of the most innovative search engines, creating a user interface that Google liked so much that they chose to copy it. Also, Bing is firmly invested and at the forefront of current trends such as video and video search.
Google CEO Eric Schmidt has taken notice of Bing stating Bing is their “biggest problem” and competitor,” and continuing, “Bing is a well run, highly competitive search engine.” Google has taken notice of Bing and it is time that Arizona SEO practitioners do the same.
